Job Description

A Contract Administrator is required to provide assistance to the Procurement Manager and Head of Commercials & Contracts whilst working closely with the Finance Department. The successful applicant will be based in Oman, working for a company developing an antimony roaster project, with an antimony and gold production facility.

Responsibilities to include:

- Reviews and/or provides guidance in the preparation of contracts, agreements, amendments and change orders - Assisting in pre-bid meetings - Assisting in negotiating and executing contracts - Provide ongoing assistance to staff in the administration of contractual agreements

The successful applicant will:

- Have a legal background - Be driven by results and a strong desire to succeed - Have a positive approach to problem solving and working with a wide range of people including senior staff - Maintain confidentiality on all Contracts and Commercial project information

The Jobholder will also possess the following abilities:

- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks to meet deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail - Ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with excellent customer service - Ability to provide factual and objective technical data and information used by others for operational purposes

The following will also be required:

- Degree or Diploma in Management / Accounting - Increasingly responsible professional level experience in purchasing or equivalent - A working knowledge of procurement procedures - Knowledge of local and state laws, codes and regulations related to governmental procurement - Current and effective purchasing and inventory methods and practices, policies and standards - Basic accounting principles to understand the flow of purchasing - Computers and current office software programs
