Job Description

Our client in Oman is operating an antimony / gold smelting operation and has an immediate opening for a General Manager of Business Development. Reporting to the CEO the candidate will be responsible for the procurement of all feedstocks and the selling of all products produced on site.

He, or she will be responsible for developing new commercial partnerships, new revenue streams and leveraging ALL SPMP relationships to commercially benefit the organization. The GM Business Development will lead the organization in income generation from the commercial sector. He/she will set targets, generate income and work across the organization to manage delivery of commercial benefits.

Candidates should have:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance or relevant with a minimum of 10 years industrial experience. OR a Diploma in Business Administration, Finance or relevant with a minimum of 12 years industrial experience. • Experience in sale of processed minerals or industrial chemicals - Antimony and Gold experience is a plus. • Experience in selling antimony ingot and antimony trioxide would be ideal. • Experience in the procurement of metal bearing feedstocks • Experience of trading including minor metals • Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels. • First class presentation skills. • Ability to work in multiple international markets. • Ability to build strong external relationships to enhance the company’s profile. • Expert negotiating skills • Ability to work collaboratively with others to provide a high-quality service. • Excellent project management skills. • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment. • Self-motivated, with the ability to work proactively using own initiative. • Good IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

This is a residential position for either married or single candidates and comes with an excellent salary package.
