Mining - Processing - Geological - Quarrying
The Management Accountant will be responsible for the operation of contracts, procurement and cost accounting and reporting activities for the Oman based Antimony Roaster project during its engineering, construction and commissioning stages.
Key tasks, in part, to include:
- Process all contract change notices and invoices - Process all EPCM managed and direct purchase orders and contracts - Process all invoices, including EPCM-validated invoices - Maintain a set of registers and file structure for all financial transactions - Provide accurate and timely cost reports for the project on a monthly basis - Assist Commercial Manager / CFO in preparing any commercial information required by Omani government departments - Visit the construction site and engage actively in site activities including safety, health and environmental aspects
The successful candidate will be driven by results and possess a willingness to succeed with a positive approach to problem solving and decision making. He/she will be capable of communicating well with a variety of people, including senior personnel, whilst being able to remain calm and respond positively to challenging situations and difficulties.
This position also requires the following certification and experience:
- A university degree or diploma in Accounting; - Working knowledge of international accounting practice and - Previous experience in a similar role
