Senior Exploration Geologist

Short Term – six months. A gold mining company in South America is looking for a Senior Exploration Geologist to manage a drilling programme for six months. The role will involve overseeing some 7,000-10,000 metres of diamond drilling in a remote location, working from a field camp. The ideal candidate will be experienced in geophysical exploration methods, supervising drilling programmes and have good organisational skills. The position will be site based, but a negotiable rota to a local city will be included in the benefits. Previous experience in typical West African gold fields an advantage. Language skills beneficial, but not essential. Good salary plus benefits.
