Technical Sales Manager
Are you a Technical Sales Manager from a tunnelling, civils or mining background? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual to look after existing customers and to develop new and repeat business for specialist products for the mining and tunnelling industries.
The Company
We are the sole UK Agent representing a number of leading overseas manufacturers’ of equipment, materials and products for the mining and tunnelling industries. Over the years, we have built up a strong relationship with our manufacturers and have a comprehensive product range (click here to view our website and product range). Our office is based in Bournemouth, England.
The Role
The Technical Sales Manager role will oversee an existing customer base and work to develop sales with existing and new customers.
Drive the strategy for each product area and build and manage relationships with customers.
Manage the order process from specification through to order placement and delivery.
Advise on the product installation and use.
Manage the transportation of the products.
Continually seek new business opportunities for the product range.
Based at our Bournemouth office, with visits to sites as required.
The Ideal Candidate
A background in the tunnelling, civils or mining industries desirable, but not essential.
Previous sales experience would be advantageous.
High level of commercial awareness, excellent negotiating skills.
Ability to think laterally in a highly competitive and constantly challenging marketplace.
Confident communication style.
Able to communicate at all levels.
Strong analytical capability and able to interpret complex data.
The ability to work within a team environment.
Possess literacy, numeracy, and good computer skills.
