A Gold Mining Company in the Middle East requires a Manager to run the Mining Engineering team. The role will involve leading the team in the planning and construction of a mine with cost effective optimisation/extraction of the ore body. Also, the Manager will ensure that the department follows strategic direction, monitor performance against set targets, assist in the running of the underground and open pit mines, compile mining plans and manage continuous improvement programs.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mining Engineering plus at least 15 years experience, of which a considerable part would have been spent on gold mines. In addition the candidate will need good mine planning skills and cost management. Knowledge of Arabic an advantage.
