International Mining Company requires an experienced Manager to run its Mine Planning section for its iron ore mines. The primary role will be to improve and standardise the current iron ore mine planning and exploration function, introducing and developing modern systems and methods to minimise risk, maximise efficiency and improve safety. In addition, the manager will review and assess the current iron ore mine planning methods, systems and output of short, medium and long term plans, provide guidance and assist in the development and implementation of standardised computer generated production and development schedules and layout plans, improve the existing mine plans and layouts, based on international best practice, to increase efficiency of extraction, minimise risk and improve safety, thoroughly review and assess the current methods and systems that are used to determine the geological exploration programme.
The ideal candidate will be a Mining Engineer with at least 10 years experience in iron ore mining at both technical and operational levels. Good knowledge of mine planning software required. Based in London with international travel, candidates must be eligible to work in the EU. Competitive salary plus benefits offered.
