A Junior Mining Company requires a dynamic COO to develop a chromite mine in Albania. The role will involve all aspects of the development and bringing on stream by mid 2012 of a geologically challenging chromite deposit. Working with a local technical and operational team the COO will oversee obtaining the necessary permits, the overall organisation of this complex project and the diplomatic aspects necessary in a historic mining district. The ideal candidate will have technical, operational and financial skills which can be applied to pulling together the mining project. Educated to at least degree level and with a proven record of mine development, the candidate will need to manage both a local labour force and external contractors. The post will be on a rota of 8/2 with a good financial package offered.
