Metallurgy Manager required for a mining company in the CIS. Responsible for the ore processing design and management (milling, flotation, filtration, thickening and drying) into the feasibility study phase of two Projects. The Metallurgy Manager contributes to all aspects of the process design to take part of the BFS and design phase of the Projects. The role will eventually require hiring a team of metallurgists and technicians that will gradually join the construction and operation group and ensure that all process based initiatives are implemented as required, through to and including commissioning and future operations.
Candidates interested in this role should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (process, metallurgical, chemical) or appropriate training; specialisation in ore processing combined with experience in this field, especially in connection with base metal flotation and with gold CIP/CIL/Heap Leach, would be preferable; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook), familiarity with MS Project, Minitab, Bilmat, Avantis, PI is a plus. Membership of a professional body for engineers and experience in project management would be an asset, together with a knowledge of Turkish or Russian language.
